Rock at the Fort

On the 31st of October, the Education and Outreach section within Heritage Malta will be organising a musical performance aimed at parents/guardians and their young children.

The event will provide the opportunity for parents/guardians and children to socialise, and bond in the safe and socially distanced setting of Fort St Angelo which will be closed to the public for the occasion.

Art at the Fort

The second activity is targeted at parents and guardians with children aged between 3 to 4 years old and will be held between 10.45–11.45 am. During this session participants will be doing a collage or colour drawing of a sailor and/or bell followed by a paper doll activity. The event will also include a brief tour of Fort St Angelo.

In order to avoid cross-contamination between participants for the second activity, guardians are being asked to bring along their children’s scissors, UHU stick, and crayons.

Babies Take Over Fort St. Angelo

Għar Dalam site reopened after extensive works

Heritage Malta has reopened the Għar Dalam prehistoric site, which had been closed since last March to enable extensive works that will ensure a more holistic and memorable experience for visitors. These works, which have been funded by Heritage Malta with an investment of €250,000, are part of a much larger project which, once implemented, will see the Għar Dalam site form part of a park comprising four valleys and leading up to the outskirts of Ħal Safi.

Malta‑ is an archipelago, which consists of three islands: Gozo, Comino and Malta. You will have the opportunity to swim between all three.

These straits were visited by the ships of Ulysses, Napoleon and Lord Nelson, trading caravans and military flotilla of Carthaginians, Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Spaniards, Normans, submarines of the Third Reich and destroyers of allies. Many ships can still be seen at the bottom.

The water at the rocky shores is famous for its transparency, in good weather visibility reaches 50 meters!

Arthall - Gozo

The exhibition presents a collection of works on paper and mixed-media paintings selected from the last ten years of the artist’s studio production, including work produced during the Covid-19 lockdown.

 

The exhibition centres on the artist’s ongoing concern of our relationship with time and what it means for a human being to exist temporally in the stretch that we call our lifetime.
