This is what the 6 characters in Appuntamenti ask themselves when one, very normal morning, each waits at a bustop. But as the bus drives by, picks up and lets people off it these 3 men and 3 women will be tempted with possibilities that life might never present again.Only on this particular day, during these particular ten minutes, they decide to do something about it...

Appuntamenti, which won first prize in the National Francis Ebejer playwriting competition in 2009, is an original play in Maltese written by Simone Spiteri.The play is being re-staged for its 10th year anniversary and also as a launch of the new publication of two of Spiteri’s most popular plays (the same Appuntamenti and Repubblika Immakulata, which premiered last March). Performances will run on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd November at The Splendid in Strait Street, Valletta at 8pm. Each performance will be followed by a free glass of wine and the opportunity to buy the book and have it signed by the author. The Splendid is not wheelchair accessible.
