DiveBase - Malta

The Freediving Workshop with Umberto Pelizzari will be held between the 2nd and 4th October 2020 at DiveBase in Malta.

During the course, the following topics will be addressed:

breathing techniques (abdominal breathing,

how to use the diaphragm,

relaxation

autosuggestion techniques

special physical training for free

divers specific training for freedivers

(static, dynamic, deep free-dive)

personal training programmes

black-outs

safety equalisation techniques

diet and the theory of different disciplines.

During the sea sessions, students will train and work on the techniques of constant-weight and free-immersion.

Students will be filmed in order to analyze their technique.

Wetsuit, mask, fins, snorkel, dive computer and belt are required. 

The organization will provide weights.

Equipment rental will be available upon prior request and is subject to a rental fee.

A medical certificate for freediving activity is required.

The minimum age to participate is 16.

Diving insurance is also required. 

The temperature of the water will be between 16 to 18 Degrees Celcius.

Participants are encouraged to wear a 5 mm or 7 mm wetsuit.
